Taurus is ruled by Venus, so it makes sense that I drew mostly cups. The Suit of Cups in tarot are kin to the suit of hearts in a standard card deck. This suit represents love, emotions, feelings, connections, and relationships. The suit is also associated with the feminine; Taurus is a fixed feminine sign.

During this New Moon in Taurus, it’s clear that we are thinking more with our hearts, less with our heads. The sign of Taurus is known for being practical (some might say boring), patient (some might say lazy), perseverant (some might say stubborn), and pleasure-seeking through the senses (I don’t know what some might say about that one!).

Taurus, like the Cups, are also prone to unrealistic expectations, chronic dissatisfaction, and emotional sensitivity. With that in mind, let’s look at the cards:

The New Moon in Taurus implores you to think things through so as to not miss any opportunities. There might be a temptation to reject an offer because it’s not the way that you imagined it would be. Instead, shift your focus and awareness from what you don’t want to what you want, what you don’t have to what you have already manifested. The practical twist in your perspective will allow you to receive the proposal that is clearly on its way.

You may still feel unfulfilled in some capacity, in romantic or business relationships. You’ve been sitting on the fence for a while; seemingly incapable of making a decision that you think will best suit you. If you shift your focus, as suggested above, you will eventually leave the past behind. You will know that it is time to move on when you are able to accept or forgive unresolved issues. Have patience with yourself and the process.

That’s a tall order, you might say, having felt so disappointed in your plans for happiness. Okay, so you’ve experienced setbacks, financially or emotionally. By thinking about it (and likely complaining about it), you’re deciding to stay in that misery. Why not keep exploring? Eventually you’ll find new inspiration and reconnect with something (or someone) you once loved.

Besides your body is calling. It says, “Let’s do something fun together!” Set a specific physical goal and approach it as an adventure. Study eagerly and safely. Word hard and smart. Be dedicated and you’ll be in that white cat suit before you know it. Rerr!

Your best bet throughout the next six months of this New Moon in Taurus setup is to find an outlet for your emotions – some mood-lifting, peace-loving, creativity-expanding, or spiritually-healing vibes. Let out the passion that embodies the desires of your soul.
